factory sound

i have 02 f250 psd , factory stero ,single cd plus tape, when you turn
truck off then restart volume is low, turn up then turn key off,
goes back to low is this normal if not please help

Does it retain the track number/position or the radio presets?

yes it does hold preset's, just volume will not stay

That is a feature that many radios have now days. It is a preset volume level that the radio defaults to whenever it is turned on. This is to keep from blowing speakers or scaring the crap out of people when they start the vehicle if you had the radio turned way up when the vehicle was last used. Some radios allow you to turn this feature off, but I don't think you can on the factory radio.
