I use a couple of the round, wick type kerosene heaters to heat the shop when I'm out there in the winter. I also have a kerosene "torpedo" style heater. I have always used K-1 kerosene in the round heaters to avoid screwing up the wick which is a pain to change. However, K-1 is becoming almost impossible to find around here.
So my question. Is anyone using regular low sulfer diesel in the wick style heaters? Have you had any problems? I've been using diesel in the torpedo heater and with low sulfer diesel it works just fine and doesn't stink. How about in the other heaters?
