as i come close to getting my license i realize that when i want to drive to the beach i would like some all terain tires, but i want some 38" ones so that i can go faster without being at such a high rpm all the time, and get some better gas mileage. but i havent found any yet, anyone know of any?
Mickey Thompson Baja Belted are the only ones that come to mind that are at least 38" tall. Check out[link:www.ntwonline.com/ntw0799/pages/mthompson.html|National Tire & Wheel] for sizes available.
The biggest tire BFG makes is a 37x12.50-17, but a mud terrain costs $269 and the all terrain costs $319. I doubt thats what your looking for. What do you plan on doing on the beach, just driving the shore line or climbing the dunes.

i just want the all terrains to drive to the beach, once i get there im going to throw the TSL's back on my truck and have some fun in the sand. i want them for normal driving to distant places other than that ill have the TSL's on it.
How far are you from the beach? I dont think you will find a large cheap all terrain type tire, and if you go with mickey thompsons you might as well use them on the beach to.

If your gonna spend the money for a new set of tires that size, I would get a set for both purposes and not have to change them all the time.
If your geared so low that your driving at a high rpm with 36's, it would'nt seem to me that 38's would make alot of difference.
At any rate, why not just go to to 38" Super Swampers?

tire wear, and although i like the noise of the TSL's hum i think that after about an hour and a half of that it would get quite anoying. but i dont know what im gonna do, i might just borrow my dads car or borrow a 250 from our family buisness and tow it down.
