archive tunes?!?

what's the scoop on Spartans achieve tunes? how do you like them? i have been waiting a for a long time to get my tunes adjusted by spartan because of shifting issues.
the other day i downloaded the Ultra Comp file to try it out a high power tune. it's cool that they leave all the little adjustments open that we can make that aren't available on my custom tunes. this tune has insane power!!! and i love how the turbo spools so quickly w/ almost no lag!
the shifting is a little off (maybe still learning).
i was wondering how many Revs a 34.8" tire is and maybe that would help the shifting if i plugged that in the adjustments.
also i have only used custom tunes for my mods (basically injectors) and was wondering if its fine to run these tunes until i get my custom ones? it seems like this tune doesn't get as hot as my custom tuned HR tune. maybe because it isn't tuned for larger injectors so less fuel??? IDK because there is tons of smoke....

just a few things i have been wondering and wanted to use a different tune while i wait for spartan to adjust my tune. also just ordered a custom XStreet from innovative diesel before turkey day so i should be getting that soon. (though emails let Eric know what i wanted and he thought this would be best for me looking for a Daily Diver tune w/ Power and Econ)

bump...
so i reprogramed the truck and adjusted the tune to all my specs (3.73, 575 revs, etc) and also raised the idle 100 rpm, bumped up the shift pressure 5% on all shifts except 1-2, and lowered the WOT shift points to like 3600 rpm (this tune has so much power down low i thought i wouldn't need to rev it out too much and it would be safer to lower the shift points.)

next i did the complete torqueshift relearn and drove the truck around easy at first while warming it up. after about 25 miles and the tranny temp is around 145 deg i roll on the throttle up until wide open (testing the see the rev limiter) and the truck shifted ok in all the gears until it hit the 3600 rpm and then just made the gnarliest growl/lug from the engine/tranny it didn't shift. i let off after a second or two and then it up shifted.

is this normal? i'm trying to adjust a tune and get it driving right because i am scared that all these missed/crazy firm shifts are going to hurt the tranny.

My custom ultra comp will rev past 4000 without a hitch (sounds like no other diesel I've ever heard). That sound you described sounds like the rev limiter. The boost comes on just off idle and pins at about 2000 rpm until I take my foot out, its a whole lot of fun but man is it hard on fuel.

yeah i know what your saying about the power with that tune! it's powerband was insane. i just don't think it liked my truck (never shifted right) but i bet it would be fun with a 6sp like yours.
