Help !
My 05 superduty 6.0 has started having intermittent problems starting & even cuts off while driving , if I press the accellarator pedal it usually refires or will start . I'm thinking it's something in the cruise control , but I could use some help .

Do you have a way to read codes?
Recent oil and fuel filters changed?
Water in fuel?
Get it diagnosed at a dealer unless you are handy and have the tools. Could be a lot of things from such general information....

Fuel filters & oil filter were changed when the problem first started , at first it would shut off only while driving , but has just started having trouble starting ( when engine is warm ) . The check engine has never came on and has no stored codes .

Where does the cruise control fit in here?
Never the less, a little more info could help.
Does the truck just shut off like you turned the key off or does it stumble and eventually shut off?
Does the truck do this from a cold start or only when it reaches operating temps?
Can you get the truck to duplicate the issue on command or is the problem unpredictable?
Does the truck work or is it a DD or grocery getter (not trying to be condesending, just asking - it actually makes a diff.)

The truck just shuts off instantly , at speed , I can press the accellerator & it will refire. It will only do this at operating temp. I can not duplicate problem it's intermittent . Truck is a weekender , drive a co. truck to work . Lately it won't crank (at operating temp.) after stopping for only a few minutes .

Maybe HPOP? Try posting your question in this forum 2003 - 2007 6.0L Power Stroke Diesel it's a little further down on the forums page, you will have better success there as there's lots of knowledgeable guys and even Ford techs that hang out there. HTH- Tim
