Sig. P-220 .45acp hands down the best investment if you are looking a .45. I've got 19 sigs in all calibers and styles. Never had a jam or feed problem with any of them. The majority of sig problems are due to cheapskates using the Japanese magazines or lack of cleaning/lubing. Sigs are only reliable with the oem magazines. Sure they cost more, however you get what you pay for...
yeah but is there any risk of it passing straight through the intended target and retaining enough velocity to kill or seriously injure someone else though??? also what about Federal Hydra-Shoks
SIGs are great pistols, better than glock any day. Have one also in 9mm. Tried a friends hi dollar Kimber .45 last week, we couldnt get thru more than 2 mag fulls without feed/ eject failures, Its going back to Kimber.
Those COR/BON s tend to expand and stay in target, imparting massive trauma. One officer i knew carried 9mm BECAUSE of its penetration ( car doors etc.) he was using a fmj round. Not partial to federal ammo, would prefer Black Talons by winchester in any caliber.
Ok a couple things now that I've got gun people here 1st. am I the only one that likes Ruger????. 2nd. The first and last time I shot my P90 I fired 300 rounds through it via the two oem 8 round magazines and only stopped long enough between clips to reload both. I fired UMC I think it is and Winchester FMJs and probly 6 or 7 each of Hydra-Shoks and Silver tip Hollow points and it loved it all never jamed or gave me even the slightest bit of trouble. So I guess what I'm really asking is why does Ruger seem to be overlooked alot of the time or flat out disliked in some cases????
Ruger makes great weapons! love their revolvers, had a 9MM P85 when they first came out flawless reliability, but too big for a 9mm. Some people think its like cars, its american made so it cant be any good.
It sure can improve reliability, but I have never been one to have my weapons "tweeked" Im a fan of "out of the box" reliability. Another thing to consider is a revolver, utmost reliability, no one w/ .357 mag 4" barrel revolver has EVER been undergunned.
Having trouble with PM, Guess theres to much crap on this computer. I will see if I can get it cleared up little later! so this is best i can manage right now.
Hmm thats odd well I build and maintain my own computers myself infact this ones comprised of a Core 2 Duo E6400(overclocked to 3.2Ghz) and a Asus P5NE-SLI Motherboard,2GBs of Corsair XMS2 800Mhz DDR-2,a XFX 7950GT 512MB OC Video Card, and a Sound Blaster X-FI extreme Audio Sound Card. Hard Drives are a Western Digital 320GB SATA2 with 16MB Cache and a Seagate 1000GB SATA2 with a 32MB Cache built it myself overclocked it myself and maintain the O.S.'s myself Between me and my Wife we could figure out whats wrong with it and get you fixed up
My " expert" should be home from the grocery store soon. probably something from her work thats running. my comp. skills basically, point, click, 2 finger typing LOL!
Nothing at all wrong with Ruger, I just prefer the feel and handling of Sig pistols. In fact I have a P-90 that I do take to the range every now and then. The wife has a Sig P226 9mm, and several Glocks, and no we do not get bored at the range.
That sig 226 is beautiful pistol got 1 myself. Have 1 1911 .45 its a ww2 mod. made by remington typewriters, fathers heirloom. dont shoot it much, not very reliable. but its mostly a historical piece and wouldnt part with it for the world. I think i have lost count of all the other 9mm .38/.357s and .380s round here.
