Hi all,
I am interested in connecting an iPod or possibly sat radio in my truck. I have a 2001, with the optional stereo with the 6 disk changer, hence no aux inputs... I think. I have heard that you can use something called a PIE in this situation? Before now, PIE to me just meant something yummy to eat. What is a PIE and will it work for me?
Thanks,
Jack
My buddy loaned me (but i am never giving it back) a FM transmitter, company name was MONSTER and it had three different programmable settings, i leave it in my work truck and keep it on 93.7, it's as crystal clear reception as my hard wired AVIC D3, however without any bass.
Yeah, I've tried FM transmitters. I'm just too picky to be satisfied with them. You lose tons of volume, so to hear it over the engine you end up turning them up and it distorts like crazy. Anyone know what a PIE is and if it can help me?
Thanks,
Jack
I have a 2001, and I have the ipod2car box and harness that hooks up to the stock stereo system, goes between the stock harness and radio. And then from the box have a wire going to the ipod, I can skip songs from my radio but thats about it. Makes it pretty easy, and have the ipod with the custom bracket mounted up near the radio for easy playlist changes and stuff.
