So in order to hopefully get rid of that big center gauge that displays fuel, speed, etc, does anyone make a whole new dash piece that has cutouts for aftermarket autometer gauges? Every site that sells F100 parts I've come to is only for restoration, not customization.
Maybe I'm looking in the wrong places for sites and companies like that, so if anyone knows of some, feel free to point me in the right direction.

Click on the link below and you will see this company has several choices depending on what size and how many gauges you wish to use. It is just another option for you to look in.
As a side note, if you search the 61-66 forum for a topic I started on "4.6L engine swap as begun" and if you scroll through the pages towards the back you will see I used the stock cluster panel but installed a set of Auto Meter gauges. I used a 5 in Quad gauge in the center which monitors fuel level, oil pressure, water temp and voltage and comes with all the needed sensors for the gauges. Then I used a 3 1/8 in electric speedo, by drilling out the hole that Ford provided for the optional oil pressure or amp gauges. I have not purchased the matching tach yet, but when I do it will go to the right of the quad gauge, in the other place Ford provided for the optional oil pressure or amp gauge. I personally like the way it turned out and it was a lot cheaper than purchasing an aftermarket billet cluster panel. It is just something else for you to think about.
so BIGBLOCK when you installed that quad gauge did you just make a flat plate and drill the hole for the gauge and just use the factory mounting holes .this is what i was thinking of doing to my dash as well but was not shure of what it would look like but now i do
thanx paul
why not just fab one using the stocker as a pattern?...This way it'll fit like stock and you'll be able to set it up how you want. or fill the original as the start
So how much cutting of the stock dash piece is needed to get the dash insert mounted sucessfully and looking good? If it involves lots of it, I may just take it to a local fab shop and let them do the work.
