generator or voltage regulater
well the other morning i went out and my truck was dead. i called around to try to find out how to tell if it was my generator or voltage regulater. some one told me if i unhooked my A and F wires at the generator and than started it up and put a test light to my A post and reved my engine up it would light up if it was good and not light up if it was bad? is this the right way to do it or was i told wrong? well i tested it that way and it never lited up so i had my generator rebuilt and put it on but still my battery is not charging. i no that the battery is good so it must be my voltage regulater but i wanted to make sure i tested the generator right so i could test the new one again and make sure its good. any help oh its a 59 if that matters

Yeah, the site gets slow sometimes and makes you wonder if you pushed the button. When you do it again, two of them pop up.
I put that on there just to make sure everyone looked and posted to the other one so no one missed out on the discussion, or posted a good idea in the wrong place.
