I have a 1989 Ford Bronco 302 and the Brake light stays on all the time. I have checked the parking brake it has been released all the way. I can go to the master cylinder and unplug the connector on the side of the master cylinder and the light will go out. Shoud I replace the master cylinder? Also the RABS light stays on and I have taken the sensor out of the axle housing and checked it and that light stays on all the time. Any answers will help
Try replacing the switch in the MC since that's what let the light go out when unplugged. The switch reacts to pressure in the hydraulic system (when it works properly). If the switch fails its quite possible for it to "fail" in the "closed" position which would leave the brake lights ON. The ABS light will come on any time the brake indicator comes on... an issue with the braking system has the potential to cause a problem with the ABS part of it as well. Since the dashboard brake light is used to indicate a problem with the braking system, it stands to reason it would trigger the ABS light as well. Get the brake light to go out and the ABS light will follow.
My brake light stays on because the parking brake won't go all the way back up when I release it. I just reach down and pull it all the way up and the light goes out. I haven't taken the time to look at it. Probably a sensor in that location needs attention.
I had a RABS light on mine for a long time.
One fix is to take the dash out and remove the bulb.
Better fix is to look at my supermotors page at the RABS stuff.
RABS has a testing system that tells you what is wrong.

If the parking brake will not totally release, replacing the switch prolly won't help.
Inside the park brake control is a coil spring, which releases the foot pedal...it has weakened.
The spring is only sold with the control, it's not available separately.
Thanks for the info Bill. I will keep a record of the part number. I probably won't replace it anytime soon because of the cost but it is nice to know the part number and approximate cost.
anyone know if the parking brake switch is available?if so where? I tried my local dealer and he says its 30.00 online its 2 dollars and change but no one has it
