i bought a pair of aluminum wheels from a friend for real cheap(75 for all) they were pitted badly but i figured for 75 bucks i could cleen em up and it would be worth it(if not, no big loss) rather then 200 bucks a piece for new ones. i found the only effective way to clean up the real bad spots were to take a wirebrush in a drill, it worked well but it took the finish off obviously. im wondering if there is anyway to get the finish back or to atleast make it look all one finish and smooth again. i picked up some polish but that didnt work. im thinking maybe taking some kind of heavyduty white paint and just repaint them.
i like the look of a white wheel if anyone knows what im talking about.
thanks in advance for anyhelp, sorry for the long talk
