For Google Earth fans

Google is apparently going to link up with an outfit called Geoeye, which has even better images than those available now.

Check out this link for some samples

Ditto Daves thoughts. I live in a rural area and it's hit or miss. The pick of my town is 4yrs old and can't even get my home town.

On GE the photo of my town blurs at the overlap of the next plate and our home can't be seen. However if I go tho the weather channel & zoom all the way in we get a good pic.

What I like about GE in general is that it provides a good preveiw look at a unfamilar place when traveling that a map just can't do. We used it this year when we rented a house in Fl & have used it to pick out hotels in the past.

Last time I checked, our house was on it, and the houses behind us were still under construction, so that puts it about 2 years behind.

Wow thats really nice. I use Maps.Live.com right now. People try to tell me they have a commercial address when they don't so I go on there and use the BirdsEye and prove them wrong. I also love telling people that they have a swimming pool or other landmarks by their homes.
