Clunk while braking

I get a clunk from the front end when I hit the brakes, not so much over bumps, mostly when I stop. Any ideas what to look for???

check the pads. sound like the pad has come off the backing. Happened on a car I used to have, ended up replace the rotor because of it.

I had the same thing Drove me nuts. I removed the caliper and service the pins, changed the spring clips, re-installed the pads and that solved it.. It was a simple fix took 15 mins a side..
