Hope everybody has a good holiday. We deep fried a turkey at a work get together today. It was pretty good. A friend brought one in and we dispatched it. Plucked her and she went for a swim in some peanut oil.
I say THANKS to everyone who goes out and DOES something for a living and contributes to this country.
And a special thanks to everyone who has served this country and sacrificed something for the betterment of it. Whether it was years of being told where to live, what your job was going to be and being under-paid while doing it. Or being wounded: sometimes, if not most times, in a life altering way.
And most of all for the people who made the ultimate sacrifice and also for those who lost someone they love and then had to go on and live their lives without them. They made/make a great sacrifice as well.
I have been very fortunate to not have been touched by this in my family. Both of my Grandfathers came through WWII with out a scratch. However my paternal Grandfather saw the attrocities first hand that the **** regime inflicted on the people they saw as "unclean" while liberating a concentration camp. He would NOT talk about it until the end of his life and really then only to my Dad, on his death bed. Try to tell him it didn't happen.
I would ask that we all be thankful and try to make this country as good as the HEROES then AND now are fighting for it to be.
And ditto what Dodge said....Dont forget those standing guard this weekend in far away places (Iraq, Afghanistan, Africa, throughout the middle east, etc).
Amen brother.
It may sound a little cheezy but I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone that has helped me get my BIG RED FORD on the road and not only running but thriving. I realize that the only time I post a thread is to ask a question but thats simply because everything I know about the 6.9 I learned here. Maybe in a couple of years I can actually contribute.
Hey where else can you find so much knowledge to tap into and for FREE.
THANKS GUYS.
THANK GOD for all the countless blessings.
Happy Thanksgiving and Merry Christmas!
