I'm the proud owner of a 2wd '95 F250 PSD and I was wondering how you tell the gear ratio. I looked on the rear axle and found this on a little black tag:
5S125K
55 10 2 5 C 13
In comparison to other gear ratios, how good is that?
thanks!
I can't tell from those numbers unless there is a 3 in front of the 55 you mentioned. In that case it would be 3.55. Look at the code under the word axle on the sticker on the door jam. Then do a search for ford axle codes or post what number it is and somebody should be able to tell you. This should solve your problem.
