I have a 2000 explorer sport 2wd and the rear end seems like it's sagging a little to much. What can I do? I do keep a milk crate of stuff in the rear but it's not a lot of weight 40-100lbs max at times in the hatch. Even with nothing in the rear it seems like it's sagging. It's not bad but it is starting to bother me as I have been driving it more since work has slowed down.
The problem is most likely worn out leaf springs. I have some heavy subwoofers in the back of my 94 and the combination of those and the old springs create noticeable sagging, but its only about an inch if that.
I was thinking that but I'm not sure if it would work. Are they the same length leafs? I don't have any to compare to. That would work great if it does I could add all the things I'm affraid to carry because of how it might affect the handling. Thanks for the suggestion.
What other forum, I'd like to read more about peoples issues with the explorer. I really haven't had to many issues with mine.
I bought it for my parents to enjoy but I take it on short trips when I don't want to drive one of my big trucks. It's very comfortable to drive, it's surprisingly small so it's easy to drive and park but has a lot of space inside.
