Well I finally bit the bullet and started tearing my truck down for a rebuild. I had to prepare a work area for it. I didn't have enough smooth area for truck and crane so I had to fix that first. I spent most of last night doing that, with a little tear down. I will post here as I do this, but will detail it more at my personal blog where I have the space. Here is my first entry. Feel free to use any information gleamed from my teardown and rebuild to advise myself and others. If you use any pictures or information I post I would ask that you credit myself and my blog when possible. (a lot like open source, use it as you will, just give credit where credit is due) I started last night by pulling the hood, bumper, grill, marker lamps, headlight bezel, and the header piece with the headlamp off. I'm going to work my way from the front back to the engine. Looks like it should be more roomy once I get everything cleared out of the way.

Reason: picture too big
It is a hell of alot easier to work on the engine without any of the coolers in the way. It took me 2.5 hours with an extra hand to get my turbo situated when i originally installed it without any of the coolers on it, gonna suck now!
Engine has low compression in #7 and no compression in #5. The condenser might get replaced IF I see to many particles when I flush, Otherwise I will just straighten the fins. Got the front of the truck tore down. Just need to grab the starter, oil and then unbolt off the fram and tranny, pics to come.
This should answer your question F350-6. I knew something was wrong when I saw a similar video Kwik posted on youtube and mine was horrible in comparison.
They sell mahle pistons, alliant injectors, etc. If you're still needing parts, shoot me a PM. I'll give you my work phone number to give them when you ask for pricing. I don't have an account, so credit card is required, but they will give you a little better price off the phone number.
We have an M&D chain here. I'm in San Angelo. I was looking at powerstrokeshop.com though. Someone suggested that one too me. Haven't bought the kit yet. Going to do teardown first.
The teardown has actually been going really well. I have to hand it to the engineers that designed the front end of the truck. This teardown is already going faster and easier than the 302 Crown Vic teardown and top end rebuild that Chad and I did several months ago for a friend/relative.
Charles/kd5tkr is the one you see in the pics BTW, he's the one that showed me this site after I bought the truck, he found it on a search. BTW this week is a 5 year anniversary of a clutch change on my last mustang he helped me with, he thought he was done helping me do mechanic work. lol.
