Any current members of RHN willing to test out a KML file in GoogleEarth of members info and then give me some feedback...it would be appreciated. Just PM me...I'm off to the highways tonight and tomorrow night, but will get back to you asap. The file is about 8 megs, so if you want to help, make sure you can either receive an email with a file attachment of this size or be able to download the file from a link I will provide you. I just need two or three willing testers who are familiar with GoogleEarth and KML files.
We have 11 beta testers now (and probably 12 counting Neal when he gets time) so I am closing down the link for the screenshots and anyone that clicks on the link in the first post will be directed to the New Roadside Help Network website.
Thanks to everyone that volunteered for this project and I have just about finished the "User manual" and "Administration manual" that I will e-mail out tonight or tomorrow to the beta testers.
I did not check to see how many of us members have posted their pictures, but I just had my ready about 5 pm yesterday and Neal has it added to my profile already. I don't know whether the thank him for that, but I sure want to thank him for all of the effort he's put into this.

Thanks Mark, it is appreciated. I just wish more members sent in their picture because when/if you need the info a picture of the person you are meeting up with would make it easier on everybody. SO RHN members who have NOT yet sent in a picture for the GoogleMap, send me one...ok? If you send me your picture, I'll send you a link to the map with your picture in it as soon as I post it.
I am working on a little incentive to send in pictures Neil....
The searchable database will have members pictures included but if you have not sent in a picture of yourself, you will not be able to view other members pics.
I am testing the new version now and should have in up within the hour.
I could set a permanent cookie to stay logged in but that really gives security a big hit. I'll have to think on that.
No matter what, it will take some re-writing because even if your cookie is still alive, it starts you at the login screen. Plus if I allow permanent cookies, I would want to strengthen the security within the cookie itself.
I add it to one of my "future" releases. (Notice how I was thinking while writing)
