ok i have a 1989 f150 with a 302. i just put the motor in out of another truck.(both federal emmisions) here is my problem. sometimes the trucks runs just fine revs to
about 5'000rpm's. then i start it another time and it will rev fine until about 3'000 rpm's, and won't go past 3'500 rpm's. It has really been kicking my ***! A'm i not getting enough fuel pressure? Sensor? i don't know so i know to rely on you guys! any help i would be thankful for. I'm just stumped...
no offense, but why are you revving it to 5 grand? a stock 302 don't make any power after about 4 grand.. are you revving it this high while driving, or at a standstill?
have you checked the usual culprits, fuel filter, sparkplugs/wires/cap/rotor, o2 sensor, FPR?
