starting problem

My problem is on a 73 F-100 352 with aftermarket ignition. As soon as you turn the key to the on position it growls....doesn't sound good does it?

I would say it doesn't sound good! I would double check everything to make sure you have it right. If you are not careful, it will be up in smoke!!! JMHO

I dont know about your unit ? But some of them depending on application have to be run with a resister inline ! If all else fails read the manual again ! Or like Wes said ....you may end up sending smoke signals!!
