Looking for 6.9 heads
Well the old horse finally let me know where my problem was today. It started chuffing when I pulled back in the shops parking lot today. I'm looking for a set of heads for a worst case scenario I know the one head is supposed to be new as the guy I bought the engine off of told me so and the head looked new. I'm hoping it is the older head that went bad.

I'm going with what my luck has been like lately. I didn't drive it far after it started chuffing. I limped it home and parked it. I'm going to pull the valve covers tomorrow night and probably pull the engine Thanksgiving day. I figure I'll take the down time as a chance to completely reseal the reman trans I bought. Now I just need to get an engine stand that won't collapse with the 6.9 on it. I left my good one in Ohio with the original 6.9 from the truck in Ohio. I hate buying duplicates of tools I already have.
