that red is way to orange someone said to paint it with paint for an 8n tractor i will probably do that

I really don't think anyone is going to walk up to you at the supermarket parking lot with a shoe box full of paint chips and write you a ticket for being a shade dark or light. Who is to say. Find a shade of red you like and show a little "Hutsbhah." This is really a very poorly documented issue. Eventhough the Old Ford Club of America says Green is correct, I've never seen one redone in green, but lots (including the one we bought) in red.

Shoot, wanna solve this crisis? Just Chrome EVERYTHING!

The closest I could find was duplacolor engine paint Ford Dark Red - in spray can.

Hey Sorry for the delayed response... just got home from the Turkey Run in Daytona.

I purchased the engine paint from Central Auto Parts in Melbourne, FL. They are a Car Quest affiliate FWIW. Price was about 4-6 dollars per can.
