- The twin .50 cals are hard mounted in the bed on a ball pivot so I just keep the link belts in the ammo boxes.
- The .44 Magnum Desert Eagle is in a kydex holster mounted to the drivers door for quick freeway shootin'.
- The Glock 20 is mounted just below the Desert Eagle in case it runs out of ammo.
- The Benelli semi-auto 12 gauge is mounted to a pivot ball on the passenger door window opening.
- I'm still waiting for the front, side and rear mounted flame thrower tanks to come in.

Unfortunately the truck I was driving sort of matched the one that was used by a guy who had left his house after pounding on his wife for a bit. I had 2 of my 22's, a pistol, a revolver and a couple of shotguns - myself and a buddy were on our way out to the desert. We got pulled over by the CHP out in Banning. They didn't fret about the guns - after they determined that neither of us were the perp.
I think I aged a few years that night.

Be sure to study this Brady. It's a PDF file, but only 4 pages.

You will have the pistol confiscated, and you may go to jail.
You prolly will have the rifles confiscated also, and you'll have to show proof of ownership to get all the firearms returned.
CA DOJ regulation: ALL handguns must be in a locked case.
Is all this scheiss worth the trouble? A lockable pistol case is 15 bucks or so.
I use a plastic rifle case, with a long shanked padlock, so both rifles and pistolas are locked up.

The CA DOJ (Department of Justice) has certain laws governing firearms that usurp BATF regs.
