I need a 7.3 DI head-decent mileage ASAP! please

Hello I just bought a '96 with a replaced motor that has 60,000 known miles and a beautiful body. Regular cab 8' bed. Exactly what I wanted. The problem is the drivers side head has a nickel sized hole below the #8 exhaust port and the manifold does not seal. So it needs a head, I only need one, just trying to see if anyone has any lying around with decent mileage, from a blown motor or something like that. Thanks.

Welcome to FTE.
Hopefully Someone here may have what you need.
Check the (Click----> NEW ENGLAND)forum here on FTE....you are from Maine, right?

Have you checked your local scrap yards? Getting it local will be the cheapest due to shipping like parrisw said.

Maybe you can have it welded?? If it's just the sealing surface.

Thankyou everyone that has posted in response. I just bought the truck for $4500 and the guy forgot to mention it was a large hole in the head due to rot/rust. I just got a call back from a local dealer that can get me a reman head for $525. Which is probably the way to go. I live in Mass, by the way I will fill in my profile later...right now I just want to drive my truck. Thanks all

Glad you found a replacement. Rust sucks! Have you considered welding it?

I have cylinder heads coming out my azz. LOL Or at least I have quite a few. If you decide the dealer isn't the way to go, holler at me. I'm sure shipping from TX will suck, but I bet it won't be more than what the dealer wants. My zip is 78669 you can check shipping for I'm assuming 70lbs??
