What year? There are lots of guys running them here and they are working well. I like the height and stance for a stock truck. My employee has a set of either 315 or 305 tires on his and it looks beefy! My cousin's kid has one too and he is putting those Bushwhacker flares on his - they look real tough with those IMHO. They are a little more 'truck like' in their feel compared to Ford or Chevy but thats not a bad thing.
Yeh well If you want the new toys you need to win the lottery. The Ranger isn't dead yet It's that need more room to travel if the weather is bad and the family is with. My Ranger since I have owned it since 92 has only let me down once When the slave cyl on the fire wall broke free and even then I staight shifted it to get it home. Wasn't good for the tranny.
Interesting, what caused the cylinder to break away, did it come loose from the mounts or the firewall just gave away?
I`m wondering if I have to re-enforce my 89, or not, so this doesn`t happen to me.
the question about that slave cyl, is the bolt's pulled though. Just wear and tear not from any abuse. Just let go in the winter could have been a little stiff and cold in the winter. And no I think I'll try to sell the Ranger it still has a few miles in it to run back aforth to work and good for hunting , it gets in places that a full size can't go very easy. Hate to part with the old girl it has been a good truck. But I still got my 46.
