I want to lift the front of a 1973 f-250 and need to know the best and cheepest but still safe way to do it. max lift 4 inches would be happy with 2. blocks? add a leaf? help.
p.s 3 inch leafs
Don't ever put blocks under the front. Use the add-a-leaf or get new springs.
You might check out getting some new springs, I've heard you can really improve the ride and you can get them made for any height you want. But if your on a budget, adding a leaf is a great way too.
Thank you for your info. one more qustion I have a full set of leaf springs from the back can I put some of them in the front to get my lift untill I have the money to get the new springs? and is there any place you would recomend for springs? last could you explane why you should not use blocks in front,is it a safty issue?
if you had an extra set of leaf springs yes you can take the front stacks apart and add more leafs just get longer centering bolts and yes thisis a safe way of doing it and get an add-a-leaf for the front plus adding a few more from an extra stack won't hurt anything just give you a stiffer ride
