coil sprung d60?
ok, ive found a doner 70's coil sprung solid d44 front end for my truck, but after getting used to the d44 i want to go to a d60. what would i have to do to put a d60 under my truck? i know i would have to either get new or modify my radius arms and have something put on for the track bar. i would have to weld the little plates on for the coils to sit on, and places for the radius arms to bolt up to..... right?
would else do i need to or should i do for this to work. cause all one ton fords are leaf sprung arent they.

if you're going to do you will have to make some brackets for the coils to sit on and I would just go with a 4-link in the front and not mess with the radius arms anymore just make an adjustable panhard and weld a bracket to the exsisting crossmember and you will have it.
it really isn't that hard to make just some 3/16 stteel and some solid rod ends for the 4-link and 1.25 DOM tube with a wall thickness of .188 and you can get all the parts you need pretty cheap the adjustable panhard you can make or buy on the internet. I would just make one out of the same DOM tube and use solid rod ends or heim joints as they are also called

wow i wish i lived near you.
how much do you think that would cost? ill go talk to my local 4wheel shop, the guy knows me pretty well so ill probably go talk to him about it and give him your idea. i would need a sketch or somethin to understand what you are talkin about though, im not familiar at all with anything other than slightly modified suspension. once i get my solid front end done i plan on going to a 12" lift, cut the fenders and run 42s or 44s though. so the 4 link should be ther perfect candidate for that. right?
oh yeah, somethin i ment to ask you AZ, if i remember reading correctly you plan on getting somewhere around like 20 some inches of lift when you do the air bags. i dont mean this to sound mean or anything if you take it that way but are you actually going to wheel it with that much lift?
