I've tried searching but i couldn't quite find what i needed. Does anybody know exactly what i need to swap the c6 from my '84 to a zf5? If anyone has a link to a write-up or something, that would be great!
That's a tall order. Best to find a doner truck with the ZF from a similar model year. At least that way you've got a reference point in the other truck as to what goes and where it goes. I'm even skeptical about the parts situation there. The ZF was not put in the Bronco from the factory so you may need to fabricate some things to make the swap. Someone here knows more than I but I figured I'd chime in.
The ZF was put in the trucks, which is identical mechanically to the Bronco except for the back end, so you won't have any issues with fitment.
However, the biggest issue you will have is hooking up the hydraulic clutch system. I have a mechanical clutch ('81) and have passed on going to the ZF due to the clutch complexities, so I can imagine it'd be even more going from an auto.
However, if you know transmissions and have a donor truck sitting right next to it to compare with the entire swap, it shouldn't be too bad.
Go to fullsizebronco.com and look for a user named Steve83. He's done the swap and has a full writeup with pictures. It wasn't from an auto though.

I'm a member of that forum too, but thanks for the reference.
You can use a hydraulic clutch pedal assembly out of an 86 truck. maybe custom driveshafts lengths. Nearly a bolt in with exceptions for the neutral safety switch and back up lights.
Forgot to mention that you may have to frankenstein the hydraulic hose assembly, eg proper fittings on the ends for the ZF slave cylinder to match up with the clutch master cylinder.
