My 250 HD is starting to (toe in) more and more, I have read that ball joints were the leading cause of this. I have done the at home ball joint tests and they seem to be fine, even when im driving if I let go of the wheel it stays stright.
I was just wondering if anything else could cause the toe in, ive got 16x10 rims with 305s on them. My tires are only just over a yr old (nuff miles to rotate once) and the front are already needing to be replaced.
Any insight would be great.
Thanks you guys.
Harry
ttb is sucks for toe in- toe out. and tends to wear the outside of the tires, seems like the front end jacks if you back into a parking spot, best thing you can probably do is take it to an GOOD alignment shop or throw an d60 in the front
if the alignment is set properly you wont have any issues, i have 6 inches of lift on mine and i havnt rotated in 15k miles and mine are worn perfectly even. and my truck gets plenty of abuse. you need to take it to a shop that knows what it is doing. caster/camber/toe to start, it all needs to be set properly, not just a "toe and go" that most shops like to give. and they also need to set the specs properly, not just "in the green" if you get it done properly you wont have any issues. dana 50's get a bad rap that they dont deserve
That is about as well said as any comment I've seen on this list. Ford TTB have problems, just like any other suspension. But, the biggest one is the lack of knowledge at the front end shops.
I'll figure out the rep thing and get ya one, Joe.
Bronco, I got it for you. $&#! alignment shops.
