aod help needed

hey everyone.im gettin ready to get my truck on the road.just minor details to finish. onebeing hookin up the kickdown/tv cable back up. i will admit transmission scare me, cause of what ive heard about burnin them up due to improper adjustment of the cable. can anyonetellme how to do this?did it loose its adjustment when i unhooked from the tb or can i just reattatch it?thanks in advance

Did you..
Release the adjuster?
Or did you just pry it out of the mounting bracket on top of the intake and pull the cable off the linkage?

If you did the second thing you're laughing just put it back on in reverse order.
If you did the first thing it's still no big deal. Mount the cable in the bracket as it should be and connect the cable to the linkage. With the adjuster unlocked pull the cable sheath back until you just take all the slack out of the cable(throttle closed), and set the lock. Done.

wow yeah that is easy, considering i did the seconed one. thanks man,seems like it was stupid question now, but definatly thanks cause burned up trannies arent very useful,lol.
