My lift is on in the morning, Question comes with the tirs i purchased. I asked discount tire for 35x12.50x16r size tires for my 99 f-250. They told me they cant get my MT's in that size because of my rim size, So what they got me on order with at 315x75rx16. I was told that they are going to be close to 35x1250. I buy the tall part, but the width? wth? aybody have any ideas as to what my mt's are going to be wide? Apreciate it

The first number in a metric tire size is the section width in millimeters. The second number is the aspect ratio in percentage of section width. The third number is the rim size. To get the size of a metric tire take the section width, 315x25.4=12.4"(this is the section width of the tire, not the tread width). Then take 12.4(section width)x.75(aspect ratio)x2(sidewall height)+16(rim size) to get the height, 34.6". So, a 315/75/R16 is 34.6" tall and 12.4" wide. This concludes today's math lesson
