Hey guys! long time no post.
I've been reading up on the forums about the 4x4 conversion.
So far i got that 67-79 frame will pretty much work for a 65-66.
I got a seller who keeps giving me the "someone is coming over tomorrow" thing everytime i bring up a lower price.
The price isn't bad i guess. I Wanted to know is there anything different i would need to do if the donor is automatic since my truck (66 f250) is stick?
And also, would any of you guys have a 4x4 frame sitting around by chance?
There is a guy near me with a 64 F100 4x4 asking $800, it is pretty decent but rusted below the taillights (57-63 style box). He also has a '62 CC Uni with a wraparound back window which I think is pretty rare, but it is quite rusty. Oh yeah, I'm on Vancouver Island, which means these trucks are most likely hundreds of miles and a ferry ride from you and not worth bothering about, but I thought I'd throw it out there.
Okay CS, I'll try to get over to see him within the next week, take some pics and PM them to you. He's got a rear bumper for my TBird I've been meaning to go pick up from him anyhow. It is a six cylinder truck, not running, and I'm sure it's an original 4x4. Give me a few days to get some info to you.
