I just bought a 30' camper , bumper pull I pulled it home and it is clear I need a better hitch, for a better ride. I would like to get something that will ride nice and I am willing to pay for it. Any suggestions, por favor?
I use a B&W tow and stow......pulled everything from atv trailer to 34ft park model rv.....I like it ....bad thing is no load levelers or sway barIf you want to go that route.....but I would use airbags before levelers and have never needed a sway bar
I'd go with either a Reese or a Hensley... I pull a 34 foot Airstream and use a Reese and it works very well. Hensley's are supposed to be very good as well but they are very pricey.. If I was going to get a new one it would be a Reese.
If anyone gets a reese I have a brand new reese swaybar sitting on the shelf for a couple years,I sold the hitch and levelers.......just throw me a few bucks for shipping and its yours
Air bags work great for maintaining the rear height but they're not as effective as a good equalizer hitch, once they're set up properly that actually take some of the weight off the rear suspension and transfer it up to the steering axle. Just having the weight transfered gives you much better steering control and with the equalizer you also have the option of a sway control device.
thanks guys, I haven't looked at the reese yet but the hensley looks like what I am needing. can't get a price off their website since its saturday nobody is home, anyone know what they run? thanks again.

make sure you are not drinking anything so you dont spit all over you puter
I can't see why anyone would want a Hensley, they are so overpriced.. I tow a 34 foot tri-axle Airstream with a Reese and have never had any sway issues and I've towed in some strong cross winds... I'll keep my Reese hitch and spend the money on something more worthwhile.. Like beer!
