Steering column rattle?
I have a rattle that's driving me nuts. It's coming from the area of the transmission selector. In fact if you slightly pull it out of drive but still keeping it in drive it goes away. I had all the guts out eariler this year for replacing the turn signal switch but replaced it back how it was. Whenever I hit a bump clang de clang clang?? Any thoughts?

there's a bearing at the top in a rubber sleeve and one in bottom in a plastic retainer, sounds like one or both need replacement
you only have to disassemble everything to replace them
mine had the lower plastic retainer broken, had to be replaced with new bearing
