its a highboy,with '76 -early '77 dana 44 front diff(open knuckle, disc brakes), 205 transfer case divorced, 73-75 grill ,other than that its a bunch of changed parts that fit. you need to get the vin # to tell what it started out as,but thats not really what you have now. keep building on what you have,don't let fear or common sence stop you. it never stopped the rest of us around here,or you wouldn't be talkin to us lol-billy

it looks to me to be a 76 from the head light surroundings my 77 has a whole seperate part of the grill for the round headlights . I have a friend with a 74 that has those just hole type light surroundings so that leads me to belive 76 or was that grill some sort of option that came with the 77?

Was Ford doing High Line/Low Line grills for the truck, like they did for cars? They have been doing that for EONS. And still are.

Could explain a lot.
