I know my '64 Galaxie has GREAT horns (originals) on it! Unfortunately most Fleabay guys think they are "gold" when selling them. GOLD?? They must be nuts!
B8AZ13832B .. High Pitch Horn
B8AZ13833B .. Low Pitch Horn
Fits: 1958/72: all cars/trucks / 1973/79: all cars/trucks except Lincolns & Birds.
These horns last sold new for less than 15 bucks each.
Interesting you point out "they fit" 1958-72 all cars/trucks. The horns on my Galaxie are NOTHING like the ones that came on my '67 or '69 F100. So I'm sure they "fit" but aren't the same by any stretch of the imagination. One: they either changed design(and kept part number) or TWO: there is actually a different part number for 1964. If I get the chance, I'll take a look and see if I can find a part number on mine.
I would think that they would have been really cheap back in the 70's-80's. But like anything that is 40yrs old, and still works, they want MORE for them cause someone wants them. We'll see if they sell? Probably not.
Shucks auto here in WA has about 10-12 different custom horns to choose from. I want to get really really loud horns and also a ooooga old timer funny horn.

I've thought about that...and a few other vintage horns....what I really want is something that will soil trousers!
I know what you mean. I ride motorcycles 90% of the time (rain or shine). Nothing like 130 db horn. I wanted something louder, but nothing would look good on a crotch rocket.
