Nice looking '09 F150! So...what are your thoughts on this "Easy Fuel" "No Cap" setup? Worried about dirt/mud getting in there when wheelin?

IMO...just seems weird!

Nice truck except for those cheesy stick-on chrome handle covers....adding the Mark LT/Platinum handles are a much better "custom" option in my opinion.

Bowhunter2001, good luck with your truck! Like I said YOUR truck; you got the options you wanted, and I am sure you are happy with your choices. Best of Luck with another great Ford product!

Wow that is quite the house. They look alright, but I do like the chrome package ones better.

Oh really thats wierd because I figured that since the 08's did then so would the 09's, because they are carry over pieces.

only on the 09 XLT chrome package, they still have the chrome pull handles. The 09 Lariat now comes standard with painted door handles, so if they added the chrome pulls to those then it would look just like the Platinum model which maybe Ford doesn't want that. Neither XLT or Lariat chrome package has a special chrome grille like the 08 chrome packages. Maybe they will for 2010?

Sorry bowhunter, I don't mean to bust on your truck mods. I just think the chrome on the entire handle bucket part is a bit much. But on the pull handle part only, it looks fine. It's cool that the new Lariat's come with painted to match handles, but then you covered them all up with those chrome covers. I would have just put the chrome cover on the pull handle only.

I guess they look ok on your light colored truck with the other chrome pieces. But I definately think they are cheesy when I see them on other trucks (mostly darker color) with no other chrome at all on them.

Is that hand calculated or according to the computer? I was hoping it would do a little better with the 6 speed. Of course I guess that depends on how much city vs. hwy driving you're doing.

I have an 08 Lariat with the Chrome Package. My door handles are matte black.

you mean the bucket surround piece is black? The pull handle part should be chrome as part of the chrome package. That's what he was talking about.

I just realized now on the 08 XLT chrome package does not come with chrome pull handles according to the order guide.

So the breakdown of the chrome package door handles should be:

08 XLT chrome - all black handles
08 Lariat chrome - black handle buckets with chrome pulls

09 XLT chrome - black handle buckets with chrome pulls
09 Lariat chrome - painted to match handles same as all 09 Lariats (no chrome pulls)
