I just got my 02 F350 4x4 with the stock chromed steel XLT rims.
A buddy happened to point out that the rims look like they are going to trap mud, ice and snow between the chrome face and the rim.
Does this actually happen? or am I missing something here.

I run them in the winter when I plow snow, I did'nt notice any more snow or ice stuck in there than with any other rim. I would however, suggest coating them with wax or something to keep the rust to a minimum.
