1990 Ranger engine swap (?)
I picked up a `90 Ranger, 2.9l with wiring issues. The engine is good, but it fries computers and won't fire. I found a 2.8l that was matched to a c5. I was wondering if it would bolt to my aod? I am leaning towards ripping the 2.9 out and putting in something carb'd.Any info is greatly appreciated.Thanks.

I've been searching for info on this, and it seems that the trans/engine will bolt up just fine. I am not sure what swap to do... If I do a swap, I feel like I should just do the 302 while I'm at it.. though I'm just looking for an easy,quick swap to get it driveable. It doesn't need to be very fast, it's for the gf.
