anyone know how to decode these? I've read through the red book but that wasn't that helpful.

yes lol. i got it out in 5 large pieces and even then there's rust marks across it from the seats wires. Only things i recognise are the wheelbase number and the rear axle number. Everything else confuzzles me. If there's some guide to point to i'd appreciate it.

Ya'll need to consider yourself lucky.I found mine,well,less than a quarter of it under the passenger side carpet.Over time it got wet and disintegrated.
