Heard a new song on the satilite radio at work today by Jason Michael Carroll called where I'm from. There was a line in the song that went "where the truck's a ford and the tractor's green" how true!
its actually pretty cheap if you compare it to buying CD's... what is it?? about 40 bucks for the car player/kit... 150/year or something for membership or 500 for life. numbers might be off a little, but its something like that...
Ithink i pay something like 13-14 bucks a month, and its 5 bucks for each additional unit. I paid 40 bucks for the one in my truck, and 27ish grand for the one in my boat! (boat was included though )
I wish my truck had a built in sat radio, it missed it by a year. I hate having the wires all over, so I usually only put it in the truck for trips. the escape has a built in sat radio and that's the way to go.
Have you guys ever noticed a difference between the built in sirius setups, and the removable setups?
I have heard some people say the built in ones work much better, but between my built in one on my boat, and my removable one in my truck, I dont think there is a difference, and if there is, its not much of one.
i don't find as much or any interference with the built in system, where a couple of times i found some interference with the aftermarket one in my other truck... i played around with the frequency with the portable one and it made a difference though...
I found poor sound quailty with the removable set up using the fm frequency, but on my truck I can plug it in to the radio with a standard stereo conector and then it sounds as good as the one in the escape.
