speedometer calibration

Does anyone know if we can re-calibrate the speedometer on our Fords? Mine is reading faster then I'm actually going as do most rigs. Problem is that the odometer is also off. So if it's off by say 2 to 3 percent then the basic warentee is up around 1000 miles early.

My dealer said they can do it if I change tire size and need it. I don't know the cost. I'm going to do it with a programmer (Edge Evolution).

I would try dealer first ....

And then look into something aftermarket.

what year truck and are you under warranty with the OEM rims/tires?

if under warranty with original equipment, talk to Ford.

If not under warranty or you've changed your tire size, it'll probably cost ya $50-100 from Ford to reprogram

if you want a programmer, it'll run you $400.

Most programmers on the market will handle recals for tire size and gears. If your in the market for a programmer already, then you're good to go.
