rear axle ID help
I used the vin decoder trying to find out what gear ratio my truck has,the tag on the rear end itself is long gone.my vin is F10GCCA9003 and the rear axle id number is 13J maybe this is no use to anyone.and I am also looking for a carburator part number as well.the local ford dealership can't,or doesn't want to look.any info anyone has will be greatly appreciated.

Originally, the triangular shaped Ford carb ID tag was bolted on the airhorn. It's prolly missing by now.
I don't need the tag to figure out what you want. Most dealers today have no parts catalogs prior to 1980.

well I would like to buy a reman carb if I could get one the ID tag is still on it.it reads D8TE

this is the tag of my carb from my 2wd,the 4wd I just bought sat for 7 years in the guys garage and the carb was dried up.I may just rebuild it if I can get a kit,the excellerator pump is siezed wide open.the engine is a 302 in this truck and is not original.but the vin on the 4wd is F14HCBG2441.

D9PZ9A586J .. Carburetor Kit (Motorcraft CT1260) / Obsolete
D5AZ9B559A .. Accelerator Pump (Motorcraft CM2092) / This pump comes with the kit.
No Ford dealer or obsolete parts vendor has a new carb.
Several Ford dealers and two obsolete parts vendors have the kit.
Miller Obsolete Parts in Binghamton NY has one kit: 800-546-7278
Collectors Auto Supply in Oroville WA has 22 kits: 800-414-4462
Bell-McCall Ford in Hamilton Montana has one kit.
Current River Ford in Doniphan Missouri has one kit.
Another choice for the carb kit: Take the Motorcraft number to NAPA or a local indie autoparts store, they can cross the numbers over to the brands they sell.
NAPA prolly sells a rebuilt carb, but...they may need your ID tag to get one, as there were over 300 different carbs used on these trucks!
F14 = F150 4WD / H = 351M 2V / C = Ontario Canada Assembly Plant / BG2441 = 1978
