Has it ever had a boost pulley or tuner installed, and if so, which? Make sure you ask that.

I surely hope so. I plan on it being my daily driver its not over modded and should serve the purpose. What should I expect on gas mileage, if i stay at the speed limit?

You just ask the question with a lot of different opinions! I use mobil 1. I have researched several different sites and the majority uses mobil 1. Everybody has their own opinion. Just do the research and go with the one you think is the best for you.

I would not expect better than 12-14 city and maybe 18 or so highway. That is IF (as my dad use to say "IF a frog had wings he wouldn't bump his @$$ when he jumped") you keep it around 70 and can do the impossible task of resisting putting your foot in it around town. The sound of that truck taking off will put a smile on your face from ear to ear and possibly get your blood flowing to that oh so sweet spot! LOL. Super unleaded WILL make a difference in that truck. Little more pricey but, offsets with the MPG and deposits on the valves/heads. Hope you have a great time with it brother. Chicks dig us!

For Oil......... I prefer Valvoline synthetic and it depends on your climate for what weight you should use. If it gets cold there you don't want to use anything too heavy. A local auto parts guy should be able to recommend. Just make sure he is not a mouth breather before you ask him.

Remember this... super unleaded... its not a choice. Its required due to the compression.

5w/20 is what Ford recommends.

It would vent the block with a rod if used on a regular basis You will love it though. I get an average of 15 mpg in town and hwy. It will pull like and ox too. I regularly pull my jeep all over the state and it will hardly shift out of od on the hills.

The high compression of the engine will cause the regular to ignite to early (i believe it is too early anyway) and cause issues because it will fire subsequently trying to drive down the piston while it is still on it's up stroke of compression. Basically it will knock and sound like it's coming apart. Obviously that is not good. It will also, over time, leave unwanted deposits on your valves and valve seats causing progressively worse power deterioration. I think I have all of that right. If not someone will call me on it I am sure. Hope that explains it.
