Well today I finally completed the brake work on my 1969 N600. I put all new wheel cylinders front and back. The back had 2 each side. While putting in the new brake cylinders, I took apart the self adjesters and wire wheeled them and put never ceese grease on them. I had a terrible time getting the rear drums off because I could not get the brake shoes backed off. My local Napa Store was great. I got the rebuilt hydrovac booser, brake cylinders, brake lines amd fittings from them. Everthing was the next day delivery as well. I also put new drum seals in while I had every thing apart. I cleaned the old grease out of the bearings and repacked them with synthetic grease as well.
Tomorrow I will go take the new tubeless rims and tires off the old N600 I found about a mile or so from my house. The bodies are shot on them, but there are so good drive train parts.
I am also going to paint the transmission and put the new clutch pressure plate and throw out bearing in. I want to bolt it to the engine and set the engine in as well. Lots of progress today, hopefully tomorrow will be great as well!
I paid $115.00 about three weeks ago, but nothing has showed up yet. Autolit.com is where I bought it. I emailed them this morning, the check has not been cashed yet so I am trying to find out if they received it yet.
