I seem to have a really bad leek on my passenger side engine compartment. to start my valve cover is covered with oil residue and it is running down that whole side of the block into the Torque converter inspection plate and then onto the ground. I have read a couple of post and I have inspected the hpop lines and fittings but this seems to be more oil then just them. anyway I ordered new o-rings going to replace them this weekend but what else could be causing this leek? I checked around the turbo and there is a little oil in the valley but I am guessing that its from the hpop line. any suggestions sorry for the long post.
thanks
Chris

The first thing you need to do is clean things up so you can see where the leak is coming from. Use a degreaser like simple green and low pressure water from a garden hose so you can see where the leak is coming from. You can also tie a rag around the lines to isolate them and see if that's where the leak is.
There's no such thing as too big of a leak from the hpop lines. Oil in those things can go above 3000 psi, so you can pump the entire oil supply out of your engine in no time through one of those things.
Clean the engine first. If there is a puddle of oil in the valley on top of the engine, you might have a HPOP leak or turbo o-ring leak. You will go in circles though until you clean it up.
ok I did a complete cleaning of the upper part of the engine removed the Y intake pipe and all so I could get everything clean. also while it was all apart I replaced the hpop line o-rings. I noticed that on the intake side of the turbo (the end the filter attaches to) that there is oil in there. does this mean that my turbo seals are going? and how much oil residue should there be in the intercooler pipes?

The oil at the intake and in th IC system is from the CCV. If you do the CCV Mod there will be no more in there. The oil is condensed from the fumes coming from the crankcase.
ok so the turbo ain going. I not knowlagable with turbo diesels but I can build on hell of a turbo powered tunner. usally oil on the intake side ment that the turbo was gone.
