headers for 65

headers for 65
hey guys i have a 65 f100 with a 302. since this year model didnt come with a small block, what headers do i need to get. i want long tube headers, the closest thing i can find is a set for a 69 f100. will these fit? it is a 4 speed (3 speed with od). thanks for the help. by the way you can check out my truck through myspace blogs. www.myspace/big_papa_pimp86.

Have a set of Hooker long tube on my 65 F100 with a T18 four speed on the floor with 302. Used a grinder to remove small amount of metal off the passengerside crossmember, felt the header flange set too close, may not be an issue with the 3 speed. Went with the PS upgrade using the Ford steering box and the headers were not a problem, if intend the upgrade at some point and go with the larger Bendix box then installing long tube headers will be an issue. Also, went with Hedman offset header extentions to route the exhaust pipes around the transmission crossmember. If you check out 'prostreets gallery there are pic's where he modified the crossmember, really cool, likely go the same route if I ever need to replace exhaust sys.

hey guys i really do appreciate yalls help on the subject. maybe you can help me with the trans as well. i call it a 3 speed with od. so it is a 4 speed. reverse is left and up and you have to push down on the shifter. standard H pattern. again thanks guys. ill post a new thread bout tranny.
