Sure is goooood to see that thing rolling around again.

I dont care what they look like, they can be multi colored, these things just look so beautiful to me.
Nice to drive something that you worked so hard on.

I agree. Every time I see one of these trucks when I'm out driving I gotta slow down just to take a look. I even know most of the people who have dentsides in my area since I've either bought or sold parts to them along the way or just ran into them and talked to them about their trucks. This truck runs horrible (2 dead cylinders), shimmys and shakes (unbalanced tires and dented driveshaft along with 2 dead cylinders), is loud, slow, bad on gas, and wanders all over the road, but I still get more satisfaction in driving it than I do driving my 05 F150. Just has more style and character. The 05 is just too easy...

Plus I don't mind taking it through the woods and scratching it up. I cringe when I have to drive my 05 on dirt roads because I'm afraid of chipping the paint, but then again I paid $38,000 for the 05, and I have around $1100 in this thing as it sits.

Its coming along. I'm going to pull the "T" style steering setup off the '79 parts truck that I aquired and install it on this thing this weekend. Should help to reduce at least some of the bumpsteer and wandering. Will hold me over until I can fabricate a new setup. One step at a time...

Nice work! I would not delay on that steering. For my truck, I actually had the parts sitting in my garage for about 7 months before I put them on. I kick myself for waiting. That 77 setup sucks so bad compared to the 78-79 style.

I started tearing the steering off of the parts truck today while it was snowing, but before I got it all the way out, the snow changed over to freezing rain and I called it quits. I'll get it changed out a little later this week.

I picked up a Dana 44 leaf spring axle and i have a 1967 f250. My question is that Dana 44 i purchased is lead spring and i currently am coil sprung 2 wheel drive. What all would i have to modify to swap my truck from coils to leaf springs. Would i have to modify any steering or anything of that nature? Or just drill holes on my frame for the hangers and it’s just a bolt on

You should probably post a new question in the 67-72 ford section.

https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/forum39/

I will tell you this question gets asked a lot and it is not easy unless you have a good amount of fabrication stills. Nothing bolts up and the frames are different.

If you do not have experience or friends with experience swapping a 2wd to 4wd you are probably better off selling your 2wd and buying a 4x4.
