My door seals are crap on my 78 supercab, anyone know a good site where I can get Factory replacments? Ebay has some universal seals but Im wondering if thats a good way to go. Any help is good.
I will tell you from experiance to get a good quality set. I installed a set from NPD about a month ago and I still have to SLAM my doors. I only paid $20 or $30 and would not reconmend then to anyone. Just today I bought another set but this time from SoftSeal. They were $80 but they claim they are soft just like the originals, so we'll see. I'm really surprized I have not damaged anything in the door yet by slamming them so hard.

did you adjust the strikers? because a lot of the time you have to add new spacers for the striker or remove some to adjust the striker.

tTry a sponsor, Blue Oval/Dennis Carpenter/ Jeffs Bronco Grave Yard
I personally found a NICE pair in the junkyard actually paid 5 bucks for them lol! but anything was nicer than what I ahd on my truck
I got mine from Bronco Graveyard, the seem pretty good to me, had to adjust the doors a little but thats because they had been tightened up previously for the thinning seals it had on then.. Did not like using adhesive but thats how they are done on Fords I guess, but the fit was great, window channels and anti rattle kits were excellent also...

I did adjust the strikers but didn't add or remove any washers. All that would do is make the striker deeper or shallower in the latch so I'm not for sure how that would help??

Oh well I had to a couple times... lol on a couple of other cars
I have a 92 f150 that I am parting out and the seals worked better than the 73/79s. I bought the junk from lmc and the needed to be glued and still they didnt lay flat on door posts. The 92s have metal molded in them and lock on the door frame and dont need to glued. They fit the door frame great and are little longer by 4 inches. You might be able to still get them oem from Ford
1987/96 F150 & Bronco / 1987/97 F250/350 & F(Super Duty) on the Door Weatherstrips.
