I did 20 years in the Navy Submarine Force and retired 30 years ago. I would not trade that experience for anything and would do it over if I could. We worked hard and played hard!

I'm thinking of going Army National Guard, but i'm not sure yet. I graduate from high school end of next year, but I don't know yet if i'm fully wanting to go Guard.

However, i'm sure it's a great thing; I just have some different plans.

my biggest advice is dont rush it if your not sure. it was about 6 months after i first talked to the recruiter before i signed my contract. i would say at least wait untill the end of high school before you sign up if you do. I originally talked to the marines when i was in high school, but the recruiter was a typical recruiter. in ways i wish that i would have got in when i was younger. but thats just looking back

its not for just anybody though, as it comes with both ups and downs.

if you have any questions though, feel free to send me a messege.
